in mind that there are over 300 remedies contained in this book!
Pins
& Needles
I had pins and needles for twelve
months. Since I started taking Vitamin E capsules three times
a day for three months they have gone. What a relief. I also suffered
with cold feet but this has gone away as well.
Prickly Heat
1) Make a paste out of baking
powder and brown vinegar. Rub on affected area. Leave for 20 minutes
then wash off with warm water.
2) Sprinkle cornflour on affected
areas.
Prostate
1) Take three pawpaw leaves (from
older type, round-shaped fruit), cover with water, and bring to
boil. Put in bottle. Add 15ml to 15 ml of water and drink.
2) An old remedy: Crush parsley
plants (leaves and roots). Simmer in enough water to cover, for
about fifteen minutes. Cool and strain. Take a tablespoonful now
and again through the day. Sweeten with honey if desired. Parsley
is also supposed to benefit the heart.
Pyorrhoea
Lemon juice with added salt. Sluice
it inside your mouth. Do this regularly and it will help immensely.
A tall story from

Rough Road
While pulling
a caravan behind my truck between Burketown and the coast, the
road was very corrugated. I was in first gear for four miles.
Looking up I could see a swagman walking towards me. I pulled
up and asked him what the road ahead was like. He said: "Very
rough." "How rough is it?" I asked. "Well
boy," he replied, "it is so rough I lost the lid off
my billycan."
About
this book "OUTBACK with JACK"
This book has been compiled
in a way which can easily be followed. It is written simply in
a straight forward manner, which is the way of the bush, where
the author spent the first forty years of his life.
Most of the items in this
book are old bush remedies. They have been handed down by the
early Australians who pioneered the "back country",
where there were very few doctors, if any.
In the early days,
quite a few of these remedies were used by doctors and bush nurses.
Some of today's doctors still believe in many of these remedies.
In short "OUTBACK
with JACK" book edition 1 has 88 pages and includes about
350 remedies and 50 yarns.
